Welcome to Quill Accounts, a family-owned, not-for-profit company that has been providing a bespoke payroll service to individuals employing personal assistants to help with their care throughout Scotland for over 17 years. We understand our clients and the sector well, and we promote a strong emphasis on meeting the exact requirements and expectations of each individual and their families, as well as funding providers.

We are dedicated to developing what we do to assist our clients in getting the most out of their care options, with a service tailored to them. Our team is passionate about helping individuals with their payroll needs and is committed to providing a friendly and efficient service.

Our Services

Our comprehensive payroll service is designed to meet the specific needs of individuals employing personal assistants. We offer a full payroll service, which includes statutory payment calculations, Real Time Information (RTI) reporting, all contact with HMRC on your behalf, workplace pensions automatic enrolment, local authority financial monitoring, fully managed payroll options, care agency invoice payment service, SDS non-care expenses and payments, and a friendly service with no hidden fees.

We also provide a dedicated area for professionals, including social care professionals, local authority representatives, and similar, where they can find additional useful information. For our existing clients, we have a large selection of resources available to help you with your payroll, submitting hours for wages, new employee forms, etc.

Our History

Quill Accounts originally began as a branch of the payroll services provided by our accountancy practice in 1999. Over the years, we have gained more knowledge of what type of help and services people with disabilities need and want. In 2011, we decided to establish Quill Accounts Limited as a 'not-for-profit' organisation to reflect the nature of the business and the social sector to which the services are provided and our users belong.

We are excited about the changes ahead for care in Scotland and are dedicated to continuing to support our clients with their payroll needs and providing additional resources and services to help them make the most of their care options.
