After leaving professional football, Mitch needed to find a new career that fuelled his fire. Our Founder, Mark Norden, saw Mitch's potential and took him on. Determined to cut through the noise of the industry, Mitch came up with the tagline, "Not The Ordinary".

Since joining Nordens in 2007, I've had the privilege of earning multiple industry awards and becoming fully qualified. What I discovered is that my greatest passion lies in helping people — making a real, lasting impact on their businesses and, ultimately, their lives. That's why, at Nordens, we Just Care — we go beyond surface-level advice to truly understand our clients, their challenges, and their aspirations. As the head of our advisory arm, I've helped build a team of exceptional advisors who believe in Building Connections — creating genuine relationships with our clients based on trust, collaboration, and shared goals. Since joining Nordens in 2010 as a trainee accountant, I have been privileged to develop my expertise within our fantastic training framework and I'm so proud of my progress since qualifying in 2013. Highlights of my career to date have been winning the British Accountancy Award: 'Practitioner of the Year 2015,' becoming a partner in 2016 and then becoming Director of Accounts and Cloud. I love to help clients achieve their dreams and smash their goals. At Nordens, we go above and beyond to make sure they are set up in the most tax-efficient way and my team provides friendly, understandable, and meaningful advice.
Lorraine Curtis
Director & Head of Audit
I head up the audit department, working with a range of clients in various sections and locations around the world. We work with Charities, Solicitors, TMOs, FCA regulated companies and a variety of UK Limited companies ranging from voluntary audits to subsidiaries of listed companies to large groups with subsidiaries in various locations. My role within Nordens as a firm is an important one due to the auditing department requiring a lot of responsibility as a main service in our repertoire.

I'm Director of Operations here at Nordens. Having joined the firm in 2010 I've been lucky enough to witness the growth of our business through working in a number of positions at the firm as part of the Payroll, VAT, Accounts and Strategic Advisory departments which provided me with key experiences across finance and business. It's my responsibility to oversee the internal systems and processes that keep the business running at the top of its game. This also involves making sure that my fellow directors and members of the Executive Board are accountable for the targets that we set them. Outside of work I enjoy cooking, spending time with my dog Layla, as well as my family and friends, and playing Padel.

I used to get very stressed when having to deal with my tax returns, until I met Ziggy.
I am an OAP and find it very hard to understand.
Ziggy had so much patience, empathy and understanding that now i actually look forward to doing my dividends.
Also Nordens are very efficient, i never wait longer than a few seconds for them to answer the phone, and emails are answered immediately.

I’m not great at numbers and for years I've been with Norden's and I’ve always just bumbled along following their advice with the business finances. To be honest, and while I’m not terrible, I don’t always manage things all that well.
Now there's been a lot of change to my work and with all the changes to the UK budgets which has meant I’ve had a few unexpected figures come up I hadn’t expected…
In a bit of a panic with this, I requested a meeting, and Evis not only helped, but actually went above and beyond making a really helpful spreadsheet for me to calculate what I need to put away each month for corporation and personal income taxes, and my student finance repayments. He’s highlighted where I need to put my figures and sent a few instructions so I know what to do.
Well, I’m actually blown away to be honest. I’d have no chance doing this by myself and don’t know how to use Excel so what would have caused me hours of stress is now a simple task with his help. And there was no judgement, something I hear my other friends in business don’t always say about their accountants. It was such a relief.
This experience reminded me how important it is in professional services to be inclusive for different needs and Norden's have always really accommodated me. It's not just Evis that's helped me through the years but my accountant Zac has been phenomenally patient and supportive.
