Business Details
We have been providing specialist defence and advisory services to accountants since our incorporation in January 2004. Our founder, Chris Cope, handled ICAEW complaints from 1976 to 1983 and has represented hundreds of accountants before tribunals since 1984. We employ a multidisciplinary team of chartered accountants, barristers and solicitors, all with extensive experience in regulatory and disciplinary matters. Our services cover complaints handling, disciplinary representation, regulatory advice, ethics consultation and readmission support. We work closely with specialist lawyers and insolvency experts to ensure comprehensive solutions for complex practice problems. For nonmember clients we offer representation at a transparent hourly rate of 250 plus VAT through our sister company Astley Legal Limited.

We have successfully resolved three member complaints to satisfaction, each concluding with a No Further Action finding and no adverse outcomes. In these cases we paid out a total of 7,950 in professional fees on behalf of the members. Our commitment to transparent communication means clients receive regular updates and clear billing throughout every engagement. We adhere to the highest professional standards, with our solicitor founder regulated by the SRA, reinforcing our credibility. Our ultimate aim is to protect accountants reputations and livelihoods by delivering swift, effective resolutions to any practice challenge.
